If you are familiar with Discovery T.V Channel than you must be familiar with a man who is left alone to any of the remote and the dangerous tourist locations like forests, deserts, rivers, plains and glaciers round the world and than survive using simple techniques, by eating insects, frogs and other bugs and by finding water to show common people how can they survive in these extreme situations. This amazing man is Bear Grylls.

Introduction

Edward Michael Grylls , known as Bear Grylls is a famous host of Man Vs Wild series of Discover Channel. This television series is popular as Born Survivor in the United Kingdom.  Apart from being adventurer he is television presenter and a writer. He got his name Bear from his elder sister when he was very small. He has got various accolades till date in all the fields he has ventured into.   • Bear Grylls hosted Man Vs Wild series since 2006. The long relationship with Discovery Channel for hosting this series came to end in March 2012. This show has millions of audiences across the globe and has peaked as highest rated cable show in US.
  • Most of his adventures were associated with a cause.  He led the first team to travel around the UK on a personal watercraft in year to raise money for the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI).

  • He also rowed in a bathtub along the river Thames for 22 miles to raise funds for a friend who lost his legs in a climbing accident.
  • Grylls led the first team to attempt to Paramotor over the remote jungle plateau of the world’s highest waterfall in Venezuela in 2005.
  • To raise funds for Global Angels kids charity, he lead a team of four to climb one of the most remote peaks in the world located in Antarctica, in year 2008.
